Thing #4 Commenting

Blogging plays an integral part in the ever-changing world of technology. It allows you to become part of a community where you feel comfortable communicating with others of similar interests. Commenting plays an important part in the blogging process. It allows others to offer unbiased opinions, make suggestions, and share their ideas, while maintaining a neutral position. A person must remember, however, that there is a real person behind the blog which they are commenting on. The person should be treated with the same respect that the commenter expects from others.

I have posted comments on the following blogs from our group:

Boog-phil

  • Thing #2
  • "Hi there! I hope I can help you solve your problem with the avatar(s). It doesn't matter that you and your wife are using the same computer. You need to remember to log out of Yahoo before the next person gets on there to work on the avatar. The avatars are "connected" to your Yahoo ID/password. It looks to me like you may have "fixed" your problem because there is a male picture on your blog."
  • He was initially having trouble posting his Avatar picture, and I thought I could help.

LifeIsGoodClantonism

  • Thing #7
  • "I love the picture and the philosophy behind it. Life IS good! You are doing a great job with these blogging assignments. Keep up the good work!"
  • I work with this teacher, so I am familiar with his "Life is good" Clantonism. He seems very amazed at all of the cool technology things that we have learned. He is doing a great job, and I wanted to offer encouragement.

  • Thing #13
  • "I know how frustrating some of these "things" can be. I've had my troubles with some of them, too. You are doing a great job! Keep up the good work."
  • She seemed a bit discouraged because Soho wouldn't cooperate with her.

Mandy's Mailbag

  • Summary
  • "You have done a remarkable job with your blog. I love the colors and the way you have it set up. I share your love of technology. This has been an eye-opening experience, and sharing ideas with you and others like yourself has been very encouraging. I look foward to seeing more blogs that you have designed."
  • I just wanted to let her know what a super job she did. Her blog is very well designed.

Wendy's Wanderings

  • Thing #8
  • "I love the poster of encouragement that you did of Sky on Flickr. She is such a pretty young lady. I know your other students would appreciate the time you would have to take to make them posters of encouragement, too! It's a great idea."
  • Wendy's Wanderings wasn't very impressed with Flickr, but she did such a good job with the picture of Sky. I wanted to offer words of encouragement to her! After I was finished writing the comment, I didn't enter the code right, so it asked me to enter a different one before it would post my comments. However, it ended up posting my comments TWICE. That's embarrassing because I couldn't go back in and delete the extra comment.

Outside of our group I posted comments on

  • Lily's Edge Boutique because I LOVE shopping. This Boutique is having a grand opening tomorrow, but unfortunately they are in Utah. They have some really unique items in their shop. I wished them well on the grand opening.

AND

  • Sarah Kristen Photography because I LOVE to take pictures. This young lady will be beginning her Senior year of college in the fall. She really has a knack for capturing the perfect moment or mood. Her pictures are beautiful. Next year is going to be a busy year for her, so she is only going to schedule 10 sittings.
