Summer Leisure Time (or not)

I was so looking forward to my summer. I had already made plans to work on some of the remodeling projects around the house. I was also considering flying to England to visit my friends. Water aerobics was going to be fun.

All of my plans came to a sudden halt whenever I was told I would have to have surgery on my right foot/ankle. That is scheduled for 25 June. They are going to put mesh in my foot where there is "non-union." I will be in a non-weight bearing cast for 6-8 weeks. I will spend the first 2-3 weeks with my leg propped up. If I looked at the calendar correctly, I should get the cast off the week of inservice training. Woohoo!!

I decided I would make the best of a bad situation, so I signed up for 3 on-line courses through the PDC. That, along with my scrapbooking, reading, and watching movies, should make my summer a bit productive. The remodeling will just have to wait.

Wow! What a way to spend the summer. I'm sorry you won't get to travel to England. Airfare, with the prices up maybe just wasn't meant to be.

So sorry your plans have changed. Surgery during the summer is hard because you cannot get out much. Hope this class helps you keep busy with all the other things you like to do. Looks like we will all be spending time learning about interesting computer skills. Good luck.
