I had never looked on YouTube before this discovery assignment, and I'm not exactly sure why. I don't know if it is because I normally have very little spare time, or maybe it is because YouTube has had some negative publicity. People (yes, even our students) think that it is newsworthy or "cute" to videotape someone getting the @#%^* beat out of them and then posting it on YouTube for the world to see.
I searched for videos on my favorites - international travel (I checked out videos on the countries I have visited), scrapbooking, and web design. It is unbelievable the amount of topics you have to choose from! You can spend hours looking at videos on YouTube. It is definitely a resource that I will use during the upcoming school year.
I chose to embed a video from YouTube on "Australia." It is my favorite country to visit. Per instructions in the discovery assignment, I am completing this assignment during what I believe to be light usage times. Unless you have to get up this early to go to work, then you're most likely still in bed asleep. Enjoy the video!
